With each kitchen and piece of furniture they create, Jamie and Rhiannon leave a lasting impression, transforming living spaces into havens of beauty and functionality. Their work becomes an integral part of their clients' lives, reflecting their personalities and enhancing the overall aesthetics of their homes.

Jamie's journey into cabinet making was sparked by a moment of inspiration while watching his parents' new bespoke kitchen being fitted. The sight of skilled craftsmen creating something beautiful and functional with their hands ignited a passion within him.

Eager to explore this newfound interest, Jamie took the initiative to ask the firm for work experience, and they gladly took him on for six weeks. Little did he know that this would be the beginning of a lifelong career in cabinet making.

What started as a work experience opportunity turned into a five-year journey of learning and growth. Immersed in the world of carpentry, Jamie honed his skills, soaked up knowledge from seasoned professionals, and developed a true love for the craft.

Carpentry, it seems, runs in Jamie's blood. The sepia photographs of his great, great grandfather outside his own carpenter's workshop are a testament to the family legacy. The faded images serve as a reminder of the long line of craftsmen before him, and the connection to his roots fuels his passion for the trade.

In a world where modern tools and technology often dominate, Jamie's appreciation for tradition and heritage is evident. He still cherishes and uses some of his great, great grandfather's well-worn tools. These relics from the past carry a sense of history and authenticity that is hard to find in today's mass-produced world. The balance and weight of these tools speak to the craftsmanship and care that went into their making, a tangible link to the craftsmanship of generations past.

With each piece he creates and every project he undertakes, Jamie carries with him the lessons and legacy of those who came before him. The passion and dedication he brings to his craft is a testament to his love for carpentry.

It's fascinating to see how Jamie and Rhiannon each find contentment and joy in different aspects of their craft, complementing each other perfectly as a husband and wife team.

For Jamie, the true joy lies in the workshop, where he can immerse himself in the process of creating beautiful pieces of furniture. Working with his hands, using traditional techniques, and transforming raw materials into functional works of art brings him a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.

On the other hand, Rhiannon's "happy place" is in the realm of design. From a young age, her passion for interior design was evident as she rearranged furniture in her bedroom, seeking to enhance and personalise her own space.

Her love for design only grew with time, as she delved into interior design magazines and took on creative projects, including devising set designs for her drama group.

With her innate creativity and self-taught skills in SketchUp, Rhiannon has become the driving force behind the unique bespoke kitchen design service offered by Atelier Cabinet Makers. Through her designs, she brings together aesthetics, functionality, and the client's individual preferences to create one-of-a-kind kitchen spaces that truly reflect their personalities and lifestyle.
